We believe in artists and the arts. They are essential. The storytellers and prophets who lodge in our hearts Gods vision of truth, beauty and goodness. The ones with the courage to hold the mirror up to us that we may see our inner most being. We seek to support and provide community to artists.
Spiritual community is a difficult thing to define. What we can talk about is what we hope and long for. A place where people matter more than projects. A place where we can become what God ment for us to be. Where we can learn to love and be loved deeply. Be encouraged in our art, feel safe to reveal the darkest parts of our story, and deepen our capicity for joy, authenticity, courage, kindness and excellence. A community in which healing happens.
By moving into the world of the arts Poiema seeks to advance beauty, truth and goodness in our age by helping artists with their emotional, artistic and spiritual challenges. As artists find freedom they will continue to enrich their communities.
